Pakistan Army Chief Flies to Tehran Amid Iran-U.S. Nuclear Talks

(MENAFN) Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has departed for Iran, security sources confirmed Friday.

According to those sources, Munir is expected to engage Iranian counterparts on the ongoing Iran-U.S. negotiations, broader regional peace prospects, and other matters of shared strategic interest.

The Pakistani army chief is also anticipated to hold meetings with senior Iranian officials and key figures during the visit, sources added.

The trip comes against a backdrop of intensifying diplomatic activity between Islamabad and Tehran, as both nations deepen engagement on regional developments and pursue coordinated efforts to advance peace and stability across the region.
