Kremlin Says Russia Unaware of US Proposal to Iran on Mideast Conflict
“No, our Iranian friends haven't passed on this kind of information to us. We don't know how reliable these reports are,” Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters during a press briefing.
Peskov’s comments follow reports indicating that the US supposedly shared a 15-point proposal with Iran through Pakistan, addressing issues such as Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs as well as maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz.
It remains uncertain whether Iran will accept the plan or if Israel supports it, as the conflict, now in its fourth week, continues with US-Israeli strikes and Iranian counterattacks.
“There's so much information out there right now, the lion's share of which is completely false, that until there's some confirmation from official sources, it's impossible to judge anything,”
Peskov added when asked if Moscow had been given any information on a similar document from Tehran.
